Privacy Notice

Last updated: 14 September 2026

Fiwi Time respects your privacy and aims to be clear about how your personal information is collected, used and protected.

This Privacy Notice applies to Fiwi Time, including Build In Jamaica, and the services available through fiwitime.com.

1. Who we are

Fiwi Time is currently operated by Everett Morgan as an individual. Everett Morgan is the data controller responsible for personal information processed through Fiwi Time.

For privacy questions, requests or concerns, contact:

Email: hello@fiwitime.com

2. Information we collect

The information we collect depends on how you use Fiwi Time.

  • If you create an account, we may process information including your email address, display name, telephone number, parish and authentication/account information.
  • When you use Build In Jamaica, we may process information you provide about your proposed property or building project, including the parish, property address, community, landmarks, questionnaire answers, generated roadmap, project progress and other information you choose to provide.
  • If you save a project, this information may be associated with your account so that you can return to it later.
  • If you upload documents, we store the documents you choose to provide. These may contain personal or property-related information, including information contained in title, planning, survey or other documents. You should only upload documents that you are entitled to provide.
  • When you contact us or provide feedback, we may collect your name, email address, message, the page from which feedback was submitted, basic browser/device information and any screenshot you choose to provide.
  • If you contact a professional through Fiwi Time, we may record the professional contacted, your enquiry and information required to facilitate that contact.
  • We also collect limited technical and usage information to understand how the service is being used and to identify problems with the website.

3. How we use your information

We process personal information where necessary to:

  • provide and operate Fiwi Time and Build In Jamaica;
  • create and manage user accounts;
  • generate, save and retrieve personalised project roadmaps;
  • provide project and document-management features;
  • respond to enquiries and feedback;
  • facilitate enquiries to professionals;
  • maintain the security and integrity of the service;
  • diagnose technical problems;
  • understand, in aggregate, how people use the service and improve it;
  • maintain appropriate business, security and audit records; and
  • comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

Where European data-protection law applies, our legal bases will depend upon the processing concerned. These may include performing a service you have requested or taking steps at your request, compliance with legal obligations, and our legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving Fiwi Time where those interests do not override your rights and interests.

Where consent is legally required for a particular activity, we will request it separately.

4. Usage information and browser storage

Fiwi Time uses limited first-party browser storage necessary to operate features such as keeping you signed in and preserving questionnaire information while you complete it.

We may also collect limited usage events, such as whether a questionnaire was started or completed, whether a roadmap was generated or a project saved, and which parts of the service are being used.

Fiwi Time does not currently use Google Analytics, advertising trackers, social-media pixels or third-party behavioural advertising cookies.

We do not use a persistent identifier to follow anonymous visitors across separate browsing sessions for analytics purposes. Where a temporary session identifier is used for product analytics, it lasts only for the current browser session and is not intended to identify you across future visits.

We may change the technologies we use as Fiwi Time develops. If we introduce non-essential cookies or tracking technologies requiring consent, we will provide the appropriate information and consent choices before using them.

5. Professionals directory

Fiwi Time contains information about professionals and businesses whose services may be relevant to users.

  • Some directory information may have been supplied directly by the professional or business. Other information may have been obtained from official professional registers, publicly available directories or other public sources.
  • Being included in the Fiwi Time directory does not, by itself, mean that a professional has been verified or endorsed by Fiwi Time.
  • Where we identify information as coming from an official register, this describes the source of that information and does not mean that Fiwi Time has independently verified the professional.
  • Professionals may contact us at hello@fiwitime.com regarding information displayed about them, including requests to correct or update personal information where appropriate.

6. Documents you upload

Documents uploaded to a saved Fiwi Time project are stored privately and are not publicly accessible through the Professionals directory or other public areas of the site.

Documents may contain significant personal information. Please consider whether information is necessary before uploading it and avoid uploading information about another person unless you have an appropriate reason or authority to do so.

Access to uploaded documents is restricted to the relevant account and authorised administration where access is necessary to operate, secure or support the service.

7. Who processes your information

Fiwi Time uses service providers to operate its technical infrastructure. This currently includes Lovable's managed infrastructure for application hosting/database functionality, private file storage, authentication and transactional email services.

These providers may process personal information on our behalf where necessary to provide those services.

We do not sell your personal information to advertisers. If advertising is introduced on Fiwi Time, this Privacy Notice will be updated where necessary to explain any additional processing involved.

8. International processing

Fiwi Time is operated from Spain and provides services relating principally to Jamaica. Our technology providers may process or store information in other countries.

Where European data-protection law applies and personal information is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we will use legally recognised safeguards where required.

Users in Jamaica may also have rights under Jamaica's Data Protection Act 2020.

9. How long we keep information

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to provide the service, maintain appropriate security and business records, resolve disputes and comply with legal obligations. Different types of information may therefore be retained for different periods.

We are developing formal retention periods for Fiwi Time's different categories of information. Where information is no longer reasonably required, it will be deleted or anonymised where appropriate.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live and the law applicable to the processing, you may have rights concerning your personal information. These can include rights to:

  • obtain information about how your personal information is processed;
  • request access to personal information held about you;
  • request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • request deletion of personal information in applicable circumstances;
  • request restriction of certain processing;
  • object to certain processing;
  • receive certain information in a portable format where applicable;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based upon consent; and
  • complain to an appropriate data-protection authority.

Not every right applies in every circumstance.

You can make a privacy request by contacting hello@fiwitime.com. We may need to verify your identity before providing, changing or deleting personal information. For the initial launch, requests may be handled manually.

11. Closing your account

If you want your Fiwi Time account and associated personal information deleted, contact hello@fiwitime.com. We will delete or anonymise information where appropriate and subject to information that we are legally entitled or required to retain, including appropriate security, audit or legal records.

Deleting an account may permanently remove saved projects, uploaded documents and other information associated with that account.

12. Security

We use technical and organisational measures intended to protect information held through Fiwi Time. Account data, saved projects and uploaded documents are subject to access controls, and uploaded files are stored in private storage rather than being made publicly accessible.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. Users should protect their account credentials and contact us if they believe their account or personal information may have been compromised.

13. Children

Fiwi Time is not designed as a service for children and is intended for adults using the platform in connection with property, building, professional or related activities. We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children through Fiwi Time. The service is intended for users aged 18 and over.

14. Changes to this Privacy Notice

We may update this Privacy Notice as Fiwi Time develops, including when we introduce new services, technology or ways of using information. The latest version will always be available on Fiwi Time and will show the date it was last updated. Where a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will take reasonable steps to bring the change to users' attention where appropriate.
